Concept
We transformed a former suburban chalet-style house in City Bell's commercial district into a bakery and specialty coffee shop that brings tradition and contemporary design together. Sourdough, the products' primary ingredient, guides the project as a metaphor for the transformation of the space. The program is organized into three bays: the central bay, clad in Bali stone, brings together the counter and open kitchen; a side bay provides seating defined by metal grids; and a semi-covered patio integrates the surrounding natural setting. On the upper floor, a more intimate bay connects to the terrace. White sheet metal, metal grids, custom-made stoneware ceramics and plinths marking transitions between areas shape a gathering place where architecture, gastronomy and sensory experience coexist.
We developed the interior design together with EG Arquitectura & Asociados, with landscape design by Flux, graphic identity by Üla Studio and artistic murals by Zapaz Flecha.
